The Opportunity

We are looking for a positive and energetic Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Analyst will ensure prompt processing, evaluation and reporting of expenditures for payment. This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with strong Excel skills. This role will take on the day-to-day of payables duties along with payment processing for vendors.

In this role you will:

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies.
  • Vendor ownership and reconciliation.
  • Support process with key stakeholders to escalate supplier credit hold situations.
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Produce monthly reports and maintain vendor files.
  • Sort, match, code and enter invoices into ERP system, or invoice matching system (multi-currency / multi-entity).
  • Support audit requirements associated to payables.
  • Support intercompany transactions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What You Need

  • 3+ years of experience handling high volume of supplier transactions.
  • Post-Secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and keen ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with SAP would be considered a great asset.
