Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Burnaby, BC
Our client, a well-established organization in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills to contribute to a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage a high volume of accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes.
• Support the finance team with other duties and projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in the construction industry or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
