The Role

Our client is a growing and reputable food processing plant based in Delta, BC. On their behalf, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing AP team! This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday.

The Accounts Payable Clerk manages the processing of all vendor invoices and is vital in guaranteeing that all related tasks are reviewed and addressed promptly, working collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Checking incoming invoices, following up on missing PODs/BOLs, checking statements of accounts from vendors, conducting sales load management, matching sales orders within ERP software, and providing PODs to A/R when needed for freight companies.
  2. Processing freight invoices and procurement payables.
  3. Reviewing all Open Purchase Orders weekly to ensure missed invoices are entered.
  4. Processing non-PO invoices following the approval processes.
  5. Reconciling account discrepancies and verifying accounts by collecting and analyzing account information, statements, and transactions.
  6. Processing employee expense reports.
  7. Reconciling and processing company credit card payments.
  8. Receiving and answering calls regarding incoming vendor payment disputes under the guidance of the Finance Operations Manager.
  9. Setting up cheque runs and wires as per the guidance from the Finance Operations Manager.
  10. Performing other duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. 3-5 years of related experience in a similar position.
  2. Experience with high-volume AP.
  3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting, including knowledge of ASPE.
  4. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite; ERP experience is an asset.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  6. Outstanding organizational skills.
  7. Time management and priority management skills.
  8. Vehicle required.

Compensation

  1. $60,000-$70,000 per year.
