Job description

Inovestor, a fast-growing and dynamic FinTech company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician and Office Coordinator to join its team. This dual role offers the opportunity to oversee the company’s accounting functions while handling data entry tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Accounting

  1. Oversee the company’s accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll supervision.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  3. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the enterprise.
  4. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  5. Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  6. Manage client receivables: contact clients with overdue payments, negotiate payment plans, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  7. Prioritize collections and report on collection activities and statuses.

Data Entry

  1. Download financial statements, information circulars, and management discussion and analysis (MD&A) reports of Canadian public companies.
  2. Accurately enter data from information circulars or financial statements into our data entry software, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to optimize data entry processes.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in enterprise accounting.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. French is mandatory.
