About Our Client

Our client is a publicly listed company in the manufacturing sector with operations across the globe.

Job Description

• Interpret and apply US GAAP accounting standards through detailed memos and supporting documentation.
• Manage the recording of revenue transactions, reconciliations, and general accounting activities.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (10-Q and 10-K) in compliance with US GAAP.
• Contribute to the development of regulatory reports and forms as required under US GAAP.
• Collaborate with various departmental managers to drive financial and operational results.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
• Prepare comprehensive year-end audit working papers.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manager, Accounting should have:

• A professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA).
• Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven leadership skills with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging US GAAP standards.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis.
• Experience with a large accounting firm is an asset.
