Sounds interesting? Here’s what your day would look like as a Financial Analyst at Tempo:

  • Perform standard and on-the-go financial analysis for Tempo’s management with a focus on inventory assets, manufacturing accounting and product costing.
  • Provide support during the period end and year end closings.
  • Maintenance of accurate product costs and GL accounting for all products and inventory assets including detecting and correcting errors.
  • Reconciliation and analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts and expense accounts monthly.
  • Use data mining to analyze and make recommendations to help determine the company revenues and costs, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify trends to increase profits, comparing inventory and product cost to previous periods to locate causes for change.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Teams to analyze and understand production costs.
  • Learn and understand the full operational process flow of materials and how production can impact the cost of items.
  • Backup for Accounts Payable & Receivable, as necessary.
  • Provide accurate accounting information to external and internal sources (i.e., governments, auditors, etc.)
  • Provides support and guidance to other employees to help them analyze and understand their financial reports.
  • Provide accurate reporting and financial analysis to support management decision making.
  • Work closely with the Production and Operation teams to determine accurate product costing.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing & inventory assets and accounting are accurate and in accordance with Canadian GAAP.
  • Conduct analysis and tracking of inventory receipts, usage, and evaluation, identifying and correcting recording errors.
  • Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping common workstations and areas clean.
  • Work as a team to overcome shift obstacles, exceed daily department targets and celebrate team successes.
  • Promote Tempo’s core values by working within all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by the Financial Controller or Vice President of Finance and Empowerment.

The salary range for this position begins at $56,000/annum, however, the final compensation will be based on many factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialties and training. We strive to be competitive in the labour market, and the above range represents Tempo’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range at the time of posting.
