Your Role

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Coordinator will manage certain accounts and payable processes for the organization as well as assist with creation and account reconciliation, and monthly close processes.

What You Will Accomplish

  1. Assist in managing the organizations general ledger, including recording transactions, month end duties as assigned, and preparation of account reconciliations.
  2. Assist the organization with managing the customer and partner master record, including validation of customer names, addresses, credit limits, and payment terms.
  3. Manage the organizations vendor master record, including registration information on vendor portals.
  4. Process supplier invoices ensuring proper approvals and coding to cost centers, product lines, and general ledger accounts.
  5. Review AP aging for outstanding items and resolving issues.
  6. Process employee expense reports via Expensify, ensuring adherence to company expense policies.
  7. Prepare cheques, wires, and other payments as required.
  8. Prepare and post journal entries.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short:

  1. Post secondary degree or diploma in Business or Finance
  2. 3 years of accounts receivable/accounts payable experience
  3. Excellent organizational skills to manage issues, projects and deadlines
  4. Demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative and creative solutions
  5. Superior written and verbal communication skills
  6. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  7. Knowledge of NetSuite, and Expensify considered an asset
  8. Diplomacy, tact, and professionalism when interacting with all team members

Compensation & Benefits:

The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

Compensation Range:

MIN: $48,800 - MID: $61,000 - MAX: $73,200 - Currency: CAD
