- You excel at managing basic accounting tasks with precision and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in processing invoices, recording transactions, and maintaining general ledger entries.
- You possess a foundational to comprehensive understanding of accounting processes. You are skilled in handling accounts payable and credits, employee expenses, general journal entries, inventory adjustments, reviewing GL activities, creating reports, and utilizing computer systems financial tasks.
- You thrive under varying levels of supervision and are comfortable handling tasks independently or escalating complex issues as needed. Whether supporting your team or mentoring others, your ability to adapt and contribute positively to diverse scenarios makes you a valuable asset.
Overview:
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting function through a variety of clerical tasks, recording and processing invoices, processing employee expenses, recording business transactions, assisting in maintaining general ledger accounts, performing reconciliations, and completing recurring and ad-hoc month end accounting tasks.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:
- Compile, sort, and process invoices, checks, and other related documents for accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Record business transactions in the general ledger system, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and process daily worksheets to update accounts.
- Use computer systems to perform tasks such as process invoice, employee expenses, and complete month end tasks.
- Prepare month end supporting working papers and journal entries
- Prepare month end reports
- Perform reconciliations of standard balance sheet accounts including cash, deposits, fixed assets, AR, AP, and other assets and liabilities.
- Perform inventory analysis and adjustments
- Collaborate with team members under general supervision to address moderately complex accounting issues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and team efficiency.
Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and a good grasp of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in all accounting tasks and documentation.
- Excellent clerical skills for handling invoices, transaction records, and general administrative duties.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
