Maintaining and building our Provincial infrastructure is no small job. The Infrastructure Management division at the Department of Public Works supports Nova Scotia’s 2,400 buildings and infrastructure assets across a wide range of clients. We maintain and support various government buildings and other built assets, including museums, core buildings and office buildings supporting the work of government, correctional centres, and justice centres. Without our Infrastructure Management staff’s proactive measures, equipment issues or failures could lead to an interruption of services provided. The Accounting Clerk is just one of our key team players who support the overall safety and efficiency of our provincial building infrastructure.
As our Accounting Clerk, you will support our Real Estate & Infrastructure Management Branch in an organized and efficient manner.
As the Accounting Clerk, you will utilize your sound analytical and organizational skills to support a variety of clerical tasks including, but not limited to:

You have four (4) years of related experience in an administrative support role. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. As the ideal candidate, you must demonstrate a working knowledge of:

You are a self-motivated individual who works both independently with minimal supervision and participates fully as an effective team player. You are accurate in your work and have well-developed time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and priorities in our busy branch. You consistently maintain confidentiality in all you do. You possess problem-solving abilities and analyze and present information in a clear, concise manner. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are key for liaising with staff and responding to inquiries, both verbally and in writing. You consistently maintain a professional and courteous disposition and hold a high standard for client and customer service.

Salary Range: $1,684.00 - $1,884.17 Bi-Weekly
