Join the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) as an Accounting Clerk B and provide crucial support to our financial administration processes.
Working with the Manager, Finance and Administration, you will handle accounts payable, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and support audit preparations, playing a key role in maintaining the Authority’s financial accuracy and efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Education and Commitment to Growth: An advanced three-year diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 2 years related accounting experience.
Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Sage (Intact), Accpac or other accounting software.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Programs.
Knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel within Windsor and/or the County of Essex.
Must provide a Ministry of Transportation Driver Abstract (Uncertified).
Must provide a Police Information Check (PIC) document.
As a CUPE 2974.1 position, this role is on Band 10 with a starting hourly rate of $34.55 (effective April 1, 2025), and that is just the beginning.
