Accounting Clerk - 4 month contract

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing accounting support to the Treasury and Accounting Department personnel.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Complete vendor creations including validation of tax numbers and banking details.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• DEC or DEP in accounting or finance.
• 2-3 years in related experience required.
• Attentive to detail and accurate.
• Well organized, time-management, administrative and computer skills.
• Good oral, written and communication skills.
• Cooperative and willing to assist others.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:

You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program:

• Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations.
• Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment.
• Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

Position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
