Responsibilities
In this Accounting Clerk role in Vaughan, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, posting transactions, and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with contract terms and billing requirements.
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and facilitate timely payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation, including filing and organizing invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting tasks.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding billing, payments, and account balances in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Accounting Clerk role located in Vaughan:
- A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required.
- A post-graduate diploma or degree in either business administration or accounting is required.
- Strong experience with MS Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Strong communication skills are required for this role.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
