Reporting to the Asst. Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk is required to handle tasks assigned in the areas of General Cashiering, Accounts Receivable, and Day Audit / Income Audit.
Responsibilities
General Cashiering: Reconciling daily cash submissions, preparation of bank deposits, issuing due-backs, petty cash payments, preparing Over / Short Reports, float counts, etc.
Accounts Receivable / Credit Department: Perform any duties as assigned related to billing, collection, and guest inquiries.
Day Audit / Income Audit: Support in the completion of income audit functions including revenue balancing, reporting, and audit control functions.
Business
Report all cash discrepancies to appropriate managers; any significant discrepancies should also be reported immediately to the Asst. DOF and DOF.
Issue Daily Revenue Reports – Revenue, F&B, and Market Segments.
Customer Satisfaction
Ensure that all employees handling cash have adequate change throughout their work shifts.
Ensure billing, collection, and guest inquiries are handled in a timely manner.
Process Improvement / Productivity
Organize work in an orderly manner to maintain standards in General Cashier Office, Income Audit, and Accounts Receivable.
Report any problems or discrepancies to Accounting Management as needed.
Commit to following all local and company policies and procedures.
Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the Company.
Requirements
Working Experience
Have one of the following experiences: Accounting, Night Audit, or Front Desk experience.
Knowledge
Understanding of various operating systems (Opera & Micros POS will be an advantage).
Ability to cross-function in General Cashier, Accounts Receivable, and Income Audit areas.
Education
Post-secondary education, preferably in accounting or business area.
Soft Skills
Ability to work unsupervised.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Language
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
