Job Title: Accounting Clerk – Law Firm
Field: Legal
Competitive Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 per year (based on experience)
Location: Downtown Montreal
Work Schedule: 35 hours/week, hybrid model (3 days in the office)

Responsibilities

As an Accounting Clerk, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing expense accounts and ensuring accurate tracking;
  2. Performing account reconciliations with precision;
  3. Administering lawyers’ credit cards, including monitoring and management;
  4. Preparing and issuing invoices in accordance with internal policies;
  5. Reviewing and approving required financial documents;
  6. Providing administrative support to lawyers for various operational tasks;
  7. Organizing and filing emails and documents for efficient management.

Qualifications

We are seeking a meticulous and collaborative candidate who meets the following criteria:

  1. Essential bilingualism (French and English) with exceptional writing skills;
  2. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in a law firm;
  3. Knowledge of the Aderant software (an asset);
  4. Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including basic formulas, filters, and pivot tables;
  5. Ability to work efficiently with diplomacy and strong attention to detail.
