Job description

DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Assistant's primary duties are focused on the record keeping and processes associated with our product sales and professional service activities. The financial intern will play an active role in working within these processes and utilizing key tools, including MS Excel and standard accounting package, to assist the accounting team in ensuring processes such as invoicing, bill payments and reconciliation are carried out regularly and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist with accounting processes, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, bill processing, account/bank reconciliation, and customer payments.
  2. Participate in the locally managed payroll process.
  3. Post and report on transactions using standard accounting package.
  4. Manage banking transactions using a banking hosted business platform.
  5. Tax processing.
  6. Monthly, quarterly, annually reporting.
  7. Expense management.
  8. Work with various MS Excel templates to manage data, invoices, reporting, etc.
  9. Provide backup and support to other ESTI Accounting staff.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND

  1. Grade 12 diploma; some post-secondary education in a related field.
  2. Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  3. Expertise with office accounting software.
