Reporting: To the head office and working in collaboration with the plant management.

Job Summary

You will be accountable for all payroll and its direct and indirect related duties of the company. You will ensure that all external and internal payroll requirements of our business are processed daily in accordance with the policies of the company, and the rules and regulations of the province.

Core Duties

1. Provide payroll and accounting and clerical support to the administrative department.
2. Prepare and maintain all payroll and accounting documents and records.
3. Prepare accounting and payroll documents, reports and statements.
4. Reconcile payroll and accounts in a timely manner.
5. Daily control, enter and manage the key payroll and accounting data for the business.

Role Pre-requisites

1. Accounting clerk work experience in fish or food processing company (Required)
2. Working experience of Accpac (Sage 300) accounting software (Required)
3. Working experience of ADP payroll and HR software (Required)
4. Advanced English and French (Required)
5. Willing to relocate to commuting distance to work (Required)
6. Prior experience in a lobster/crab processing plant (Asset)
