Accountant - Bilingual French / English - Hybrid - Montreal, QB

This role is a hybrid (currently three days in the office required) position.

Office Location is Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Expedition Expectations

Accounting cycle for Direct Travel

This includes mainly the following:

• Day to day accounting cycle activities
• Calculate regional disbursements for override payments
• Create and send internal memos for override payments
• Calculate regional distribution of shared expenses
• Process required payments to suppliers
• Scan and upload invoices to accounting system
• Workflow approval
• Accrued bonus
• Loge accrual
• Intercompany US+WEST
• Cash position / trust requirement
• GST / QST submission and validation

General Accounting Support

This includes mainly the following in all Quebec companies:

• General ledger journal entry recording including manual reversals
• Review / Analysis of Vision internal consolidator entries
• Review / Analysis of entries related to airline vouchers
• Creation of manual invoices
• Sales tax analysis
• Other tasks as they become necessary
• Contact person for government communications

Passport to Success

• 5 years of experience in Full Accounting Cycle
• DEC or other education in accounting
• Bilingual in French and English languages, both orally and in writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven experience in a leadership role
• Solid interpersonal skills, with a focus on diplomacy and adaptability
• Excellent track record in client relationship management
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational and file management skills
• Superior communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
