Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Management: Oversee the full cycle of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll processing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- General Accounting: Perform a variety of general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and journal entries as necessary.
- Intercompany Transactions: Maintain and reconcile monthly intercompany transactions, ensuring proper recording and resolution of discrepancies.
- Sales Tax Compliance: Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations in all applicable jurisdictions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest software developments and accounting best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: CPA designation is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Preference for candidates with experience in the engineering or construction industry or a related field.
- Intercompany Accounting: Experience in handling high volume intercompany accounting transactions is preferred.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and experience with SAGE and ADP.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively in a team setting.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects concurrently.
