The Accounts Payable & Receivable team member has a key administrative role within our Admin Department. This position must efficiently and accurately execute accounts payable and receivable cycles per dealership standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Job Duties:
- Input payable invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Prepare monthly cheque run, online bill payments and company credit card payments.
- Issue cheques per requisitions.
- Issue monthly customer statements.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable and assist with completing collection calls for unpaid invoices.
- Work within established accounting guidelines, company policy, and procedures.
- Receipt customer payments.
- General Payables and Receivables Filing.
- Maintenance and reconciliation of payable and receivable general ledger accounts. Assist with preparing files for scanning and check scanning for accuracy as requested.
- Perform other duties as required.
We would require our candidate to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, as well, they must have the flexibility to work overtime hours the first 2 business days to help complete month-end process. If overtime hours are worked, a lieu day will be provided.
Remuneration: An annual salary of $50,000
Successful Candidates Possess:
- 1-3 years relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- CDK Experience an asset.
- Flexibility to work overtime hours on the first and second business day of each month, to complete month-end process.
- Effective Communication and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures preferred.
- Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must be willing to submit a background check prior to employment.
