Account Manager – BC Public Sector

The Opportunity

Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. (Total Systems) is seeking an Account Manager to work for our public sector client, BC Assessment, within the Province of British Columbia. You must be available to work remote, and travel for 1-day meetings once per month in Victoria, BC.

The anticipated term of this opportunity is multi-year with an available start date of April 1, 2025.

Project Context and Situation Overview

BC Assessment is mandated by the Assessment Act to establish and maintain uniform real property assessments across British Columbia, producing an annual assessment roll for over two million properties. These assessments support a property tax system generating more than $8.2 billion annually for essential community services.

BC Assessment employs approximately 735 employees and has 12 offices throughout the Province, with the head office located in Victoria.

Scope

BC Assessment seeks a strategic partnership with Total Systems to provide resources on an “as, if and when requested” basis for various services. Projects may involve:

  1. Development and delivery against long-term roadmaps;
  2. Collaboration with multiple vendors and internal teams;
  3. Implementing and integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf solutions;
  4. Managing complex stakeholder relationships;
  5. Transitioning applications to cloud services;
  6. Supporting new technology implementations.

Account Manager Role

The Account Manager will manage the contractual relationship between Total Systems and BC Assessment, serving as a management-level representative for contract governance and performance issues. The role requires significant experience in:

  • Leading contracts of similar scope and complexity;
  • Managing contract and service delivery governance;
  • Working with senior executives.

Qualifications and Experience

The Account Manager should have experience with client projects similar in scope and complexity, including:

  • Large value project portfolios ($2M+ per year);
  • Long-term portfolio delivery roadmaps (3 years or longer);
  • Experience in a public sector environment;
  • Complex stakeholder relationship management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $115.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement: French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
