Mercer-MacKay Digital Storytelling delivers powerful, engaging, and strategic digital marketing solutions to major tech companies and hyperscalers. We specialize in transforming brand narratives and connecting with audiences through impactful storytelling, digital engagement, executive communications, and lead generation programs. To support our continued growth, we're looking for an experienced and driven Account Executive to join our team.


This role is perfect for a high-energy sales professional with a deep understanding of the technology ecosystem, including hyperscalers, ISVs, distributors, and system integrators. You're passionate about this industry and recognize the importance of digital marketing in connecting tech companies and their sales channels with prospects and customers. As an enthusiastic people person and natural problem solver, you excel at identifying new business opportunities while nurturing established client relationships. As an Account Executive at Mercer-MacKay, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the COO and delivery team to provide a seamless client experience from initial engagement to project completion.


About the role

In this role, you will:

  1. Pursue new business opportunities: Leverage your industry expertise and network to identify and develop new clients within major tech companies and hyperscalers. You'll proactively create and manage a strong pipeline to drive new revenue streams for Mercer-MacKay Digital Storytelling.
  2. Expand existing client accounts: Build and deepen relationships within established accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring we meet our clients' evolving marketing needs.
  3. Oversee seamless Sales-to-Delivery transition: Act as a key liaison between sales and our delivery teams, guaranteeing that our clients' experience remains seamless from initial engagement through project completion.
  4. Collaborate with leadership and Delivery team: Work closely with the COO to align on growth strategies and directly support delivery team operations to maintain a high standard of client satisfaction.
  5. Exceed performance metrics: Your success will be measured through revenue growth, new client acquisition, high-margin sales, and adherence to KPI targets that reflect the value-driven results we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead hunting and prospecting: Deploy outbound strategies to reach decision-makers and drive growth within tech companies and hyperscalers, focusing on storytelling, digital engagement, executive communications, and lead generation solutions.
  2. Account development and strategy: Implement account-based growth strategies against a target list of accounts to strengthen and expand existing client relationships, consistently identifying and executing new digital marketing opportunities.
  3. Pipeline management and forecasting: Maintain a robust, well-documented pipeline, utilizing CRM tools to track sales activities, manage client interactions, and drive revenue forecasts.
  4. Strategic collaboration: You report directly to the CEO, and you'll work closely with the COO on growth initiatives and partner with the delivery team to ensure each client's engagement is set up for success.

What we're looking for

  1. Experienced sales professional: 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or related services sales, ideally with tech clients and hyperscalers.
  2. Self-motivated and Entrepreneurial: A true self-starter who thrives in a high-performance environment with minimal oversight.
  3. Strategic relationship builder: Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships and recognizing opportunities to support and expand client needs.
  4. Process-oriented Sales-to-Delivery expert: Skilled at navigating complex sales-to-delivery transitions to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
  5. Results-oriented, KPI-driven: Track record of meeting and exceeding sales and growth targets through a metrics-focused approach.

Compensation & benefits

  1. Earning potential: Competitive base salary + high commission-based (no cap) model, with a Total Income exceeding $150,000 annually.
