Account Executive; Construction & Infrastructure

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help drive revenue growth and empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within Aon Reed Stenhouse in Edmonton, AB. As Account Executive, you will report directly to the Edmonton C&I Leader.

What the day will look like

  • Identify prospects through local market planning;
  • Work with colleagues to execute on new business initiatives;
  • Drive new business growth and help the C&I practice meet its revenue targets;
  • Deliver continuous excellence in servicing an existing book;
  • Identify specific client and prospect needs and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  • Ensure all procedures, internal client files, and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards;
  • Coordinate and provide oversight to the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize account activities and profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of services required;
  • Execute Aon’s 3x3 plan, cross-selling and expanding the existing insurance programs with our clients; develop and manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities;
  • Develop new contacts and build relationships with prospects that align with the Region’s/Branch’s acknowledged targeted industry or segment groups;
  • Act as the visible face of Aon to clients/prospects in the community, working to consistently prospect and facilitate lead generation activities;
  • Participate in industry-sponsored events and maximize opportunities to become involved with various industry committees;
  • Lead by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practices;
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience, preferably with a key focus on sales and production.
  • Experience in construction is a bonus.
  • Provincial Insurance license required.
  • CIP, FCIP, and CRM designations are preferable, or you should be working towards obtaining them.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, including insurance courses, certifications, and designations.
