Strategic/Large Enterprise Account Executive


Role Overview:

Rogers is seeking an account executive to add to our enterprise team. This is a critical role to establish strategic direction in specific enterprise accounts. In addition to traditional account executive accountabilities, the individual in this role will be responsible to:

  1. Achieve acquisition and base margin for the enterprise territory – targets will be established on an annual basis
  2. Influence and respond to all appropriate RFIs and RFPs related to the procurement of goods and services relative to Rogers’ product portfolio
  3. Develop new opportunities through active business development activities within all levels of the specified accounts - related to all Rogers product lines
  4. Active executive level activity to establish relationships and influence future opportunities for Rogers
  5. Lead with daily and active collaboration with additional resource(s) dedicated to the Territory

Key Activities:

  1. Use innovative and consultative selling techniques combined with strong knowledge of the client in order to grow the business within a base of prospect accounts leveraging the full suite of Rogers Wireless, Wireline, IoT and Data Centre products and services.
  2. Initiate and build relationships with C-level and other key senior stakeholders within prospect accounts. Leverage any and all of Rogers assets and relationships to develop relationships and uncover business opportunities.
  3. Develop extensive account and relationship growth strategies to gain customer business information to growing new business within prospect accounts.
  4. Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop a customized value proposition to meet needs of prospects and work within Rogers to overcome barriers to sale.
  5. Generate targeted proposals by leading the internal business case process to ensure opportunities are fully considered by Rogers stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Meet and exceed assigned sales targets including key milestones in the account plan.
  7. Actively participate in regular sales meetings and demonstrate leadership by transferring key learnings to the rest of the sales team.

Required Background Experience & Skills:

  1. 7+ years experience in Wireless/Wireline/Data Centre and/or telecom industry, with proven success driving new business in the Enterprise accounts.
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and grow c-suite and other senior level relationships within key clients
  3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned quotas, selling into prospect accounts.
  4. Solid understanding of wireless, data and telecom products and services.
  5. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  6. Strong account planning skills.
  7. An innovative thinker with skill in generating solutions that meet customer needs.
  8. Access to a reliable vehicle and appropriate driver's license is a must.
