The Continuous Improvement Leader/ATS Business Model (ABM) Leader is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the ATS Business Model within ATS Automation, and specifically with continuous improvement, goal deployment (Hoshin planning), lean, and growth specific actions throughout Cambridge Life Sciences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive ever-improving results by leveraging ATS Business Model (ABM) tools, consulting skills, and change management process.
  2. Assist in establishing and achieving the Goal Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives related to ATS Automation, Cambridge Life Sciences.
  3. Assist ATS leadership in the development and execution of an ABM roadmap at ATS.
  4. Directly provide formal and informal ABM training and coaching.
  5. Ensure and assist in facilitating productive kaizen events.
  6. Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them.
  7. Promote and facilitate associate development in various ABM tools, transactional improvements, and kaizen leadership.
  8. Drive ABM culture and build ABM excellence within the organization and specifically Cambridge Life Sciences within the first 12 months.
  9. Benchmark and incorporate best practices.

Qualifications

Education:

A four-year Engineering degree or equivalent is required, specializing in electronics, electrical, mechanical or controls engineering is preferred. MBA or master’s degree is also preferred.

Experience:

  1. 4-8 years of Commercial Operations, Engineering, Transactional or Product Management experience.
  2. Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view.
  3. Ability to design, develop, and implement an ABM roadmap for an operating business.
  4. Mastery of a variety of ABM (lean) tools (or six sigma or equivalent continuous improvement tools).
  5. Superior communications skills including being able to communicate to all levels of the organization including those where English is not their primary language.
  6. Superior training skills and adult learning theory.
  7. Familiarity with various operational and commercial process and tools (e.g., Sales, order processing, distributor management, CRM, ERP).
  8. Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvements (ABM), including Transactional Process Improvements.
  9. Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments.
  10. Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.).
  11. Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
