Company: Everclean is a leading facility services company, known for our dedication to employee well-being, professional growth, and fostering a people-centric work culture. We are currently seeking a Full-time 5th Class Power Engineer to join our team in Downtown Vancouver.

Hourly wage: $28.00

Shift details: Tuesday to Saturday (Flexible for Weekends) 9:00AM - 5:00PM

Job Skills / Requirements Overview:

The 5th Class Power Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and operating building mechanical systems to ensure the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the facility. This position involves monitoring and maintaining HVAC systems, boilers, and other equipment to comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring smooth day-to-day building operations. The role demands strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to high standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate, maintain, and monitor building systems, including boilers, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, coordinating repairs as needed.
  4. Ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards, including maintaining accurate records of inspections and repairs.
  5. Respond to emergencies or urgent repairs promptly.
  6. Work collaboratively with the building maintenance team to address facility needs.
  7. Monitor energy consumption and suggest improvements for energy efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. 5th Class Power Engineer certification (required).
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  4. Experience with preventative maintenance procedures and troubleshooting.
  5. Good verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  7. Flexible availability, including weekends/holidays and evenings.
  8. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (Any):

5th Class Power Engineer certification
