ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The Support and Development Center provides services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and/or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the 3D Modelling Coordinator, you will support the needs of the 3D modelling team within the Geology team of the Technical Services by participating in the interpretation of geological data. The main task will be to build 3D models based on lithological, structural and/or mineralization data. You will be part of a team of experts working on several types of projects both in terms of the degree of progress and the geological environments.

As a key person, you will need to demonstrate curiosity, autonomy, excellent organizational skills, a good spirit of collaboration, a desire to work in differentiated geological environments associated with deposits and analytical skills. You must also be able to integrate as much data as possible to help interpret and build models. You will act as a reference person in terms of data availability and quality, and geological understanding of the deposit, and you will support the various divisions in properly communicating your observations and interpretations.

You may be required to work on different projects located in all regions of Agnico Eagle's business (Canada, Mexico, Europe, United States, Australia) with the possibility of field visits according to the various mandates.

Specifically, you will:

1. Ensure 3D modelling for the various mandates assigned;
2. Ensure quality geological interpretation in line with industry best practices;
3. Ensure the delivery of a quality model within established deadlines;
4. Communicate appropriately and work closely with the various Agnico Eagle expert groups;
5. Provide relevant geological information to other technical services disciplines (mining engineering, infrastructure, geotech, environment and metallurgy) and support them by answering their questions;

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

1. Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering. A Master's degree is an asset;
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in geology, including 3 years as a modelling geologist;
3. Be a member in good standing of a professional association (Geologists or Engineers);
4. Have solid experience in 3D modelling;
5. Be able to work within the established deadlines;
6. Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo is a considerable asset;
7. Knowledge of Leapfrog Edge, Datamine Studio RM and Snowden Supervisor is an asset;
8. Proficiency in the use of the English language;
9. Able to communicate in French (oral and written) is an asset, as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where French is the primary language;
10. Able to communicate in Spanish is an asset;
11. Be available to travel occasionally.

Your Work Schedule

1. Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of 5-2, 4-3 schedule;
2. Workplace: Possibility to work in one of AEM's offices closer to your residence in Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto;
3. If the candidate is located outside the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, a regular presence will be required in the region and at the Preissac CSD office;
4. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an AEM office and some days in telecommuting.
