Position: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary:
Job Description:
- Fixes and performs regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Inspects, finds, and repairs problems with electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
- Uses computer systems to diagnose issues and assign repairs
- Follows standard time guidelines for repairs
- Responds to emergency breakdowns
- Checks the safety of vehicles and equipment
- Completes paperwork in a fleet maintenance system, tracking parts used and repair times
- Reviews and addresses repairs listed in driver inspection reports
- Performs other maintenance tasks as needed

- Fast-paced
- Odorous and dirty
- Working on garbage trucks
- Day shifts: Glenn on days with 2 others
- Afternoon shifts: 3 employees
- Aims to maintain a 1-1 ratio of licensed to apprentice technicians
- Oil present on the floor; not very clean
