Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works under limited supervision and follows written instructions and established procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services on vehicles and equipment.
Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
Estimates time and material costs for vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
Completes all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
Responds to emergency breakdowns and performs service calls.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Completes required paperwork using fleet maintenance software for documenting repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
Assists senior mechanics with project work and complex repairs.
Reviews and completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Shift: Days and Afternoon shifts: 5 am – 2 pm or 1 pm – 10 pm

Qualifications:
Education: Must be a licensed 310T Mechanic.
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Must hold a valid 310T Mechanic license.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
