Digital Health Innovation (DHI) delivers Provincial Digital Health Strategies and business transformations by relentlessly focusing on the end user and the end-to-end health services journey for everyone in British Columbia. We concentrate on the design and delivery of digital health tools and platforms to support the ongoing evolution of a connected health system and digitally enabled health care. By collaborating with all provincial health sector partners, we ensure an equitable approach to addressing health sector priorities.
They are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Site Lead / Senior Project Manager to join their team. This role offers the potential to work across various delivery projects within our expanding portfolio. The Senior Project Manager/Site Lead, working closely with Business Analysts, Project Coordinators, etc., will play a key role in leading project activations, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project outcomes. With a focus on flexibility and growth, this position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of delivery projects (e.g., site deployments/activations, CRM initiatives). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with clinics, hospital staff, physicians, and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring the seamless implementation of projects.
Services Required:
- Lead project(s) and coordinate efforts to achieve project objectives
- Collaborate with clinics, hospital staff, physicians, and other stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, Doctors of BC, and vendors, to ensure project success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining open communication, and managing relationships with stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks proactively to mitigate potential negative impacts on project outcomes
- Coordinate and chair project meetings, facilitating effective communication among project resources, and documenting findings and recommendations
- Provide regular updates to leadership and relevant committees on project progress
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records, to ensure transparency and accountability
- Manage project scope changes and obtain necessary approvals
- Control project financials, resource usage, issues, and risks
- Escalate significant issues and collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions
- Perform project management processes in accordance with PMO standards
- Adapt to changing project needs and priorities, contributing to the success of various delivery projects within the portfolio
- Other duties as required
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or project management, including training and/or experience in leading and coordinating all aspects of a project:
- Five (5) years recent, related experience in project management and facilitating consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including the vendor community
- Extensive experience communicating with clinical/non-clinical staff, senior leadership, and other stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple Agile projects simultaneously
- Proven leadership abilities and a strong track record
- Forward-thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of how various technologies fit together in a provincial health ecosystem to deliver services
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing project needs and priorities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
- Experience working in BC Health Authorities considered an asset
- Knowledge of OceanMD and EMR systems considered a strong asset
Seniority Level Descriptions:
- Senior
- An absolute minimum of eight (8) years of directly related Consulting Category experience.
- A Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
- A Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of five (5) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
- A Degree in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of four (4) years of related Consulting Category experience
