The Radiation Therapist reports directly to the Manager, Radiation Therapy. The Radiation Therapist is accountable for the provision of the highest quality of physical and emotional care for all patients undergoing Radiation Therapy.
The Incumbents are required to accurately plan and execute radiation treatments in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists' prescription. At all times, the Radiation Therapist must practice their profession within the Scope of Practice for Radiation Therapy, as specified by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario. With responsibility for the safety of the patient while under his/her care, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for ensuring that all Radiation Therapy equipment is functional, accurate, and safe to operate. In conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for ensuring that students are properly supervised and provided with the experiences and instruction required to prepare them to be competent graduates.
Qualifications:
Salary Range: $40.268 - $54.935
