What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a finance analyst to join the Wealth Management. Success in this role will require a highly organized, detail-oriented (accurate and thorough), excellent communicator who can effectively collaborate cross-teams, who is solutions-oriented and who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment.
What will you do?
- Develop and test investment models to assist new investment solutions development process
- Assist in maintaining and improving portfolio risk monitoring practices by enhancing the risk metrics available to the entire organization
- Assist with day-to-day oversight of the business and product management of the Portfolio Solutions across all distribution channels, create and circulate product related insights, competitive intelligence, market updates and additional value adding materials
- Participate in the investment policy statement development process for funds and segregated accounts
- Perform research and provide answers for customer generated inquiries.
- Document processes or upgrade existing procedure manuals.
- Support product initiatives by preparing ad-hoc reports and assisting in related projects
- Assist the team with market intelligence and source articles/content aligned with current market themes and fund sales opportunities
- Understand and follow the established processes, policies, and procedures for tax preparation and other accounts, ensuring efficient, effective, and seamless administration and quality client service is achieved
- Monitor team mailbox, respond to inquiries and report user statistics
- Compile data for monthly reports and other regular reporting as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with high attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of regional and local financial markets, economic disciplines, and regulation
- Displays strong competencies in relationship management, collaboration, and time management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to adapt to dynamic situations and can impact and influence outcomes
- Good understanding of the economy and capital markets
- An interest in investment management and desire to learn more about the industry
- Assist in analysis and preparation of client reporting/monitoring and other deliverables.
- Work with our CRM to capture key business development activities.
- Research, create and maintain presentation materials (charts, slides, data analysis, etc.).
- Tax software skills (Taxprep would be an asset)
Nice to have:
- Experience leading small projects or small/medium enhancements.
- Has successfully managed multiple small projects or initiatives simultaneously.
- Some experience working on projects with information technology components.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Passion and enthusiasm for learning about the inner workings of the economy and markets
- Strong writing skills, and the ability to capture meeting notes and key takeaways for distribution to the team.

- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
