Job Description

Enterprise Canada is looking for a highly driven intern who is passionate about public affairs. The ideal candidate is eager to start a career in government relations and gain valuable experience in the sector.

This position is located in downtown Toronto.

What You Are Good At

1. Being able to work on multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
2. Preparing top-notch content, including presentations, letters, briefing notes, and speaking points.
3. Monitoring and following the news of the day, and tracking government agendas and activities across multiple policy areas.
4. Supporting other members of the team to ensure alignment of core goals and objectives on files.
5. Understanding and adopting best practices for communicating with government, industry stakeholders, and influencers in a digital-driven environment.

What You Bring

1. Graduated from or are currently studying at the post-secondary level in a related field.
2. A keen interest in politics, policy, communications, and social media.
3. Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
4. Attention to detail and excellent command of written and verbal communications.
5. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
