Job Description:

Structural Engineer
Bahrain

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Performs engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
2. Assist seniors in completing design work and production of drawings of complex and large size projects.
3. Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports.
4. Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams.
5. Be able to produce comprehensive, accurate and professional structural calculations.
6. Develop design details (manually and in CAD) for production of drawings.
7. Willing to learn new tools such as BIM and model structures using these tools.
8. Be able to independently & objectively check works produced by another design team member.
9. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
10. Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.
11. Understand and demonstrate value of diversity. Resolve conflicts with minimum noise.
12. Understand and respect the hierarchy in decision making; follow decisions and instructions given by Line Manager/ senior engineers.
13. Reviews supplier shop drawings and submittals.
14. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
15. Understand the importance of timeliness to internal and external clients. Achieve reliability and credibility in regard to meeting deadlines. Be punctual.
16. Maximize billable time commensurate with responsibilities.
17. Always keep commitments, particularly time and cost commitments. Acceptance of personal responsibilities.
18. Coordinate the work of the project team with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other professionals.
19. Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with minimum of 12 years of related work experience.
2. Experience in roads, bridges and infra project is required. Preferably Bahrain experience or GCC experience.
3. Good project management skills and business acumen.
4. Well versed in structural analysis software such as MIDAS / SAP2000 / CSI Bridge / STAAD.
