Power BI Developer

VAM Systems is currently looking for a Power BI Developer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems, Data Analytics or any other relevant field.

Experience:

Experience in conducting activities and assignments similar to the role requirements with a minimum of 3 years experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business stakeholders' needs.
2. Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
3. Create comprehensive data documentation covering parameters and models to ensure robust information tracking.
4. Run DAX queries and functions on Power BI.
5. Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases, excel files, APIs, etc. to import data for analysis.
6. Monitor performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
7. Schedule and automate data refreshes to keep reports up-to-date with the latest data.
8. Coordinate with information security to ensure protection of sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational security.
9. Provide training support to end users on using Power BI.
10. Keep management informed with the most up to date Power BI features.

Technical:

1. Strong understanding of data modelling and data visualization concepts.
2. Strong proficiency in DAX formulas for calculations and aggregations.
3. Knowledge of Department Procedures and Processes.
4. Certified BI Developer.
5. Experience with SQL server, Power BI, DAX Studio, Tableau.
6. Knowledge or experience in ETL.
7. Microsoft Fabric knowledge.
8. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data connections, queries and visualizations.
9. Data Analysis.
10. Communication and Presentation Skills.
