Plumber (Heavy Duty) For Big Construction Co. In Bahrain

We have immediate vacant positions for the position PLUMBER / PIPE FITTER for a highly Reputed & Big Construction Company in Manama in BAHRAIN.

Role & Responsibilities:

For installation of transmission lines with pipe sizes ranging from 300 mm to 1200 mm diameter.

A Plumber/Pipe Fitter with "Asphalt" essentially combines the skills of a traditional plumber, focusing on pipe installation and maintenance, with the ability to work with asphalt surfaces, often involved in tasks like trenching, backfilling, and ensuring proper pipe support within asphalt areas, typically on construction sites or during road repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plumbing Installation:
  • Installing underground pipes for water and sewage systems within designated trenches dug through asphalt surfaces.
  • Connecting pipes to existing plumbing systems in buildings or structures.
  • Installing valves, fittings, and other plumbing components as needed.
• Asphalt Work:
  • Digging trenches for pipe installation, ensuring proper grading and drainage.
  • Coordinating with asphalt crews to ensure smooth transitions between new pipes and existing asphalt surfaces.
  • Backfilling trenches with compacted soil and restoring asphalt surface using patching techniques.
• Maintenance and Repair:
  • Identifying and repairing leaks in underground pipes beneath asphalt areas.
  • Inspecting existing plumbing systems for potential issues under asphalt surfaces.
  • Performing routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures and pipes within asphalt areas.

Required Skills:

• Plumbing Expertise: Thorough understanding of plumbing codes, pipe materials, installation techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Excavation Skills: Ability to operate trenching equipment and safely dig trenches in asphalt surfaces.
• Asphalt Knowledge: Basic understanding of asphalt installation and repair techniques, including patching and joint sealing.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy lifting, digging, and working in confined spaces.

Work Environment:

• Primarily outdoors on construction sites, working in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to dirt, dust, and potential hazards associated with excavation and asphalt work.
• Collaboration with other construction crews including asphalt pavers and general laborers.

Preferred Candidate Profile: MUST HAVE MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS PLUMBER / PIPE FITTER.
