Planning Engineer

What you will be doing

1. Monitor the site and engineering activities based on the approved construction schedule.
2. Review and action the construction schedules and recommend areas for improvements.
3. Ensure that long lead materials are submitted, procured and delivered on time.
4. Develop presentations and reports.
5. Analyze and approve extension of time and claims.
6. Actively highlight any potential delays.
7. Communicate with all trades and provide efficient feedback.
8. Examine the recovery plans.
9. Initiate and reply to formal letters.

Required Experience

Minimum of 12 years overall experience in development or construction projects including multi-storey residential buildings having worked with engineering consultancy or construction industry in the Middle East and other locations.

Education

Minimum qualification of degree in an Engineering related field. A postgraduate degree of the same and/or registration as member from recognized professional body is advantageous.

Certifications & Memberships

Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local Engineer's society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait) such as Saudi Society of Mechanical Engineers (in KSA), CRPEP (for Bahrain).

Essential Skills

1. Software skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Primavera and Microsoft Projects.
2. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
3. Compilation of various project reports as directed by management from time to time.
4. Client focused, providing advice and services.
5. Works well in a team with a collaborative approach.
6. Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work.
