Medical director

The Medical Director of the De-Addiction and Mental Health Center plays a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership and oversight of all medical services within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all medical aspects of patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
• Implement clinical protocols and practice guidelines for addiction and psychiatric treatment.
• Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team and facilitate case conferences.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including evaluations and medication management.
• Review and approve treatment plans for complex cases.
• Oversee detoxification protocols and medication-assisted treatment programs.
• Ensure appropriate management of psychiatric emergencies and crises.

Administrative Duties

• Establish and maintain quality assurance and improvement programs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with current best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning and program development.
• Review and analyze clinical outcomes data to improve service delivery.
• Manage relationships with external healthcare partners and referral sources.

Staff Management and Development

• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to medical team members.
• Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Education and Outreach

• Represent the center at community events and professional conferences.
• Establish relationships with academic institutions for training opportunities.
• Stay current with emerging research and treatment modalities in addiction medicine and psychiatry.
