Material Controller

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting a Material Controller to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the movement of materials between departments
• Creating records of materials' movements in the company
• Negotiating with vendors
• Carrying out safety checks
• Ensuring operations follow company and industry regulations
• Ordering materials
• Scheduling shipments of products
• Estimating freight costs
• Tracking inventory with handheld scanners
• Ensuring availability and controlling use of space, material handling equipment, and required spare parts
• Establishing fire prevention and safety standards, and ensuring compliance
• Determining requirements for storage, including those for classified, sensitive, radioactive, hazardous, mobility readiness spares packages and flammable property

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & gas industry
