Job Description

VIVA Bahrain is seeking an experienced IT Director and Strategist to lead our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Contribution: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and manage technology initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Oversee the development and deployment of enterprise enablement applications, ensuring seamless integration with consumer-facing services.
• IT & Digital Consumer and Enterprise Enablement Applications: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that meet customer needs.
• Partner with internal customers to understand business requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• IT Infrastructure: Develop and maintain a robust IT infrastructure that supports business growth and innovation.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to negotiate contracts and agreements that benefit the organization.
• People Management: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Develop and execute training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the team remains up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Change Management and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes that drive efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in a leadership position. A Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is desirable. Proficiency in English language is required, and proficiency in Arabic language is preferred. The candidate should have a strong understanding of technology trends and industry developments, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
