About the Role:
The Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing and motivating departmental activities and teams to ensure that all sales personnel meet their quotas, focusing on coordinated efforts with transient demand to maximize revenue per available room. This position has overall responsibility for achieving revenue goals, KPIs, guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, retain, and develop diverse talent that positively impacts the organization and creates a work environment that embodies the brand's culture, ensuring fair treatment and associate satisfaction for business success.
- Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results, drive market share, customer satisfaction, employee loyalty, owner loyalty, and brand strength.
- Develop a sales strategy to effectively manage various sales channels and segmentation.
- Ensure strategic account plans are developed for demand generators in the market and deploy sales teams against appropriate market segments.
- Assist in developing the annual marketing plan, execute projects for all market areas, and review market analysis to determine client needs and occupancy potential.
- Position and market the property to maintain market leadership and strengthen the Four Seasons brand image.
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy to drive revenue and meet property objectives.
- Communicate timely and accurate sales and marketing information to operations departments to meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Identify changing market conditions and introduce appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategy.
- Represent customer needs to the hotel team and identify potential new revenue opportunities.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholder groups.
- Create and execute account plans for assigned markets and territories in the Leisure Segment.
- Effectively manage communication with Four Seasons Sales Offices.
- Lead on-property sales functions and leverage above-property sales resources.
- Assign clear goals to team members and encourage them to set and exceed challenging objectives.
- Manage systems, administration, database, and facilities for on-site sales activities.
- Oversee contract documents, escrow, loan servicing, and reporting processes.
- Manage specific markets and segmentations.
- Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar leadership role in a luxury hospitality brand.
Knowledge of the GCC market.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the luxury hospitality sector.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market trends.
Digital marketing, distribution channels, and revenue management principles knowledge.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
