If you’re an excellent communicator with a passion for empowering business innovation, this is your opportunity to stand out! We are looking for a DBA & Cloud Architect to join our Infrastructure & platform Consulting team in Bahrain.

Your role will be to work with Oracle customers to assist them with their database administration requirements. This could involve anything from a day’s assistance on resolving a specific issue right through to a project lasting many months to design and implement a new high availability database cluster. No two customers are the same, so this role will be interesting and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to work on some of the biggest implementations in Bahrain, running mission-critical applications.

Required skills:

1. Solid experience on IaaS, PaaS solutions on OCI or AWS, Azure, GCP
2. Basic knowledge of Oracle RDBMS
3. Database Architecture
4. Excellent knowledge and experience of High Availability solutions, Disaster Recovery
5. Proficient knowledge of Oracle Database, Data Architecture design and database server infrastructure
6. Proven and extensive knowledge of modern application architecture deployments in Cloud
7. Proven and extensive knowledge of migration methodologies and solutions from On-Premise to Cloud, knowledge of Virtualization solutions like OVM and VMWare, network design and administration
8. Experience of working in environments using Kubernetes, DevSecOps and DataOps solutions
9. Deep understanding of how to design and build secure, scalable and resilient platforms on Cloud
10. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
11. Able to write infrastructure as code using Cloud technologies
12. Able to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on Cloud

1. Experience in using GITHUB is preferable but not required
2. Oracle Golden Gate experience
3. Knowledge of RDBMS technology like MongoDB, Snowflake and SQL Server
