Mechanical Piping Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer, ideally with experience gained across the pharmaceutical sector, who will take responsibility for the design, analysis, and installation of piping systems for various company projects. This role involves ensuring the functionality of the piping systems and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities to include:

1. Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
2. Review and approve piping design documents and specifications.
3. Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Oversee piping system installations, ensuring compliance with design standards.
5. Conduct site inspections and address any installation issues.
6. Ensure adherence to relevant codes and regulations (ASME, ANSI, API).
7. Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements.
8. Maintain detailed documentation, including design calculations and inspection reports.
9. Communicate project updates to management and stakeholders.
10. Manage changes or modifications to piping systems.
11. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.

Qualifications to include:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience with piping systems in pharmaceutical projects.
3. Proficiency in piping design software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, CAESAR II).
4. Strong understanding of piping materials and components.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication.
6. Ability to interpret technical drawings.
7. Relevant professional certifications (Professional Engineer, Certified Piping Engineer) preferred.
