DENV serves as Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with offices in Brussels, Ghent, and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants and 24 sales subsidiaries across the EMEA region.
For its EMEA headquarters, Daikin is looking for a Credit Control Analyst.
Target and Scope of the Function:
- Analyse credit limit requests and decide/propose which credit lines can be granted to customers using financial analysis and risk management tools, such as credit insurance, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
- Proactively identify upcoming special credit requirements and seek credit risk management solutions in cooperation with credit insurers and brokers.
- Follow up and manage credit blocked orders and deliveries.
- Manage multiple credit insurance contracts: claims submission, declarations, indemnifications, and information sharing.
- Evaluate bad debt risk of overdue accounts receivable, assess the necessity of bad debt provisions postings and write-offs, and provide necessary intelligence to management for decision-making.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports to provide the credit manager with a solid basis for planning and results evaluation.
- Communicate frequently with various stakeholders both within and outside the company (sales department, customers, credit insurers) on credit management topics.
Profile:
- Master's degree, preferably in an economic or financial area.
- Passionate about credit management with a solid understanding of key concepts and tools such as overdue accounts, credit insurance, and letters of credit, ideally supported by first work experience in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset; knowledge of FSCM is a strong asset.
- A basic understanding of IFRS accounting standards related to credit control (e.g., IFRS 9) is recommended.
- Eager to learn.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of summarizing and reporting complex cases.
- Out-of-the-box thinker, always seeking improvement and able to troubleshoot.
- Team player with excellent English communication skills; knowledge of another European language is a strong plus.
