Towards Tomorrow - Creating a successful future for all!
Karratha Senior High School (SHS) is proud of its ability to achieve academic excellence as well as opportunities for all through its co-curricular programs. We provide our students with the chance to become confident learners, skilled leaders and responsible citizens. For over 50 years, the school has catered for a diverse range of students and continues to do so today. Local students with a connection to the land, students from across Western Australia, Australia and from around the world, make for a vibrant student population.
The community and the school share the responsibility for the growth and development of our students, working together to make our school a safe, respectful, innovative, and exciting learning environment. Student learning and wellbeing are paramount. We maintain high expectations for every student, so that they will achieve their best. We acknowledge that the adolescent years are a time when every young person requires care and nurturing, and we provide a range of supports that ensures our students are equipped with the skills, knowledge and understanding to grow and develop into productive citizens for tomorrow. Karratha SHS is an inclusive school supporting students with disabilities to engage in mainstream classrooms, while our dedicated Inclusive Learning Unit supports students who require individualised programs.
