The Team
Statewide Hospital Pharmacy spans Tasmania’s acute public hospital system, providing excellence in medication management to patients across the State. A team of over 360 dedicated pharmacists and pharmacy technicians work in areas such as dispensing and distribution, compounding and cancer services, teaching and research, medication safety, digital health, and an extensive clinical pharmacy service that incorporates collaborative prescribing and a diverse range of specialties.

The Role
The Statewide Pharmacy Manager, Education, Research, and Development is a Director of Pharmacy level role, responsible for leading practitioner development programs statewide. A particular focus is on the expansion of Pharmacist Resident and Registrar training programs, with the goal of offering Resident training to all Pharmacist Interns upon completion of their internship. The role will also guide a significant uplift in capacity for research and quality improvement as part of Residency and Registrar programs, establishing the Tasmanian Health Service as a major centre for pharmacy practice innovation. The role oversees a team of Pharmacy Educators who coordinate and provide site-based education, embedded across the State’s acute public hospitals. It will strengthen statewide practice standards and policy for educational programs, review performance of programs, and plan for future developments.

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary
$143,677 to $145,595 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
