YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our IT Transport Management System (TMS) APPS team. You will collaborate with internal departments and global clients, analysing requirements and developing technical and functional solutions for our TMS. This position involves maintaining and enhancing existing solutions—primarily in C# and PL/SQL—while also supporting legacy VB.NET code. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems remain efficient, secure, and up to date with the latest technologies.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

1. Analyse business requirements in collaboration with internal areas and clients
2. Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET), primarily with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2022 or higher
3. Propose and implement technical solutions aligned with functional demands
4. Integrate existing systems with third-party applications and services
5. Maintain and enhance existing code to ensure technological currency and efficiency
6. Contribute to system implementation and support activities
7. Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution for technical issues
8. Carry out any related activities inherent to the position.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has experience in a software development role, relevant IT tertiary / vocational qualification and demonstrates competence in the following areas:

1. Proven track record in C# and PL/SQL
2. Experience implementing RESTful APIs and web services
3. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
4. Familiarity with VB.NET for legacy code maintenance
5. Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React), mobile development (React Native), or microservices
6. Experience with code versioning tools (TFS, Git) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ)
7. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
