About the role

UGL Transport Major Projects division is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to join the team in Melbourne and be part of mission critical infrastructure projects.

  1. Provide support for design, construction support, testing and commissioning and handover of aspects of the electrical and combined services for the nominated project.
  2. Provide inputs for the production of project program, Quality Plan, Project Document Management Plan (PDMP) and Design Management documentation.
  3. Lead or Support procurement for the designated work area.
  4. Management of short- and long-term planning for works - including submittals, start-up planning and programming.
  5. Coordination of elements for the designated work area.
  6. Development and monitoring of KPI’s and productivity analysis against program and budget.
  7. Development and monitoring of quality documentation completion against specifications and PSTR.
  8. Working with site-based personnel including supervisory staff, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, the client and regulatory authorities and industry body.

About You

  1. Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. At least 10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering (practical as well as design) including solid exposure to commissioning.
  3. Experience in building services projects, preferably with Data Centre experience.
  4. Applying engineering principles to comply with project scope and technical requirements (PSTR).
  5. Demonstrated experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
  7. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  8. Australian Drivers License.
