Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.

Business Lending (BL) is a product and specialised sales team that offers working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance to our customers. It also has responsibility for Line 1 risk and controls for these products. BL is directly responsible for product management, process management, portfolio and pricing management and arrears and financial difficulty management. It also works closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital and customer experience teams.

This rewarding role as Product Controls Senior Analyst offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of initiatives that drive process and control improvement within Business Lending to ensure customer, quality, performance and compliance standards are met.

You will be part of a team that performs several key controls supporting a variety of Business Lending products.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in existing processes and controls
• Manage workflow of the product controls performed by the team
• Apply judgement to resolving control and process weaknesses
• Support control analysts within the team with problem solving and resolution
• Conduct process design activities and support the development and implementation of change management plans
• Contribute to regular stakeholder forums by preparing reports, facilitating forums, driving meaningful discussion.

• Ability to work with the business to quickly learn and grasp complex concepts to understand and define problems, ultimately helping design solutions
• Strong critical thinking skills and experience using data and statistics for resolving problems
• The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deliverables concurrently
• Ability to create or refine processes for existing or new processes to remediate customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reports and forums
