Denison is a successful gas company producing and exploring in the Denison Trough and Bowen Basin in Central Highlands Region of Queensland with facilities near Injune & Rolleston.

The Role:

Working within a small and friendly team environment and reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be required to carry out all types of mechanical repairs, maintenance, servicing & diagnostics.

You should be experienced with fixed/mobile plant and equipment including gas engines, generators, compressors, pumps, Heavy/Light Vehicles, and other rotating equipment. Also be familiar with operating process plant, field gathering systems & wellhead equipment.

Within the role you will also be required to attend to breakdowns and after-hours call outs while on the 2-week shift.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Experience working on diesel & gas fueled engines within the oil & gas industry (highly desirable).
2. Experience in carrying out minor & major repairs on equipment in field service.
3. Proven ability to identify equipment issues and improve availability through maximizing maintenance efficiency.
4. Proven ability to perform hazard identification and evaluation, implement and maintain hazard mitigation strategies.
5. Capability to coordinate and monitor contractor activities onsite during major maintenance.
6. Experience in operating gas compression and gas process equipment.
7. Previous experience working with SCADA systems.
8. Experience with liaising with engineering disciplines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
9. Proven ability to liaise with inventory control team to ensure that correct quantities of critical spares are stocked.
10. Good computer skills with experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
11. Excellent organisation and housekeeping skills.
12. Great teamwork and excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. Experience working in Computer Maintenance Management System (MEX).
2. Previous experience working on Waukesha and/or Caterpillar engines.
3. Training in OEM engines & compressors (Waukesha, Caterpillar & Ariel).
4. Previous experience maintaining and operating reciprocating gas compressors & gas process equipment.
5. Certification in Type B to work on gas fueled engines.
6. Working in a Permit to Work system.
7. Working remotely & unsupervised.
8. Truck licence (MR).
9. Forklift, EWP, working at heights tickets.
10. Experience working in the oil & gas sector.

Qualifications:

1. Certificate III Engineering of the following Mechanical Trades – Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic.
2. Current Manual Drivers Licence.
