One of Australia's principal Federal Government departments is looking to engage skilled Data Engineers to assist in collaborating with key business areas in the development and implementation of consumable reports and analytics. Data Engineers will address key risks and emerging trends within allocated areas. The successful Data Engineers will be offered a 12 month contract with a further 12 months of extensions.

The successful Data Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Setting peer review and data modelling release standards.
• Providing technical leadership to the project delivery team through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process.
• Facilitating continuous improvement measures in delivery principles, coding standards, documentation and providing training sessions to the team.

The successful Data Engineers will have experience in the following:

• Extensive skills and experience in modern cloud data warehouse technologies Data bricks, Snowflake & Teradata Vantage.
• Demonstrated skill in an ETL Tool Talend, DBT or Matillion.
• Good knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and modelling techniques.
• Experience with SAS base, Python and ability to understand DevOps process and use DevOps tools in accordance with the process will be advantageous.
